  • Jackson Reef
The northern most reef in Tiran is Jackson, one of two reefs with visible wrecks. The Lara was a Cypriot merchant ship, which crashed and sank onto Jackson reef in high seas in 1985.

On the dive which is usually made by a semi-drift, there is a beautiful coral garden on the corner where there is often turtles feeding, tuna, fusiliers and anthias fish, are all a common sight on Jackson.

One of the better opportunities to see grey reef and hammerhead sharks, especially on the northern side of the reef, and when there is a calm sea.

Jackson also connects to woodhouse reef by a saddle at a depth of 28m.

  • Woodhouse Reef
The longest reef in Tiran, nearly 1km(.8m) long. When the current is on the flood it is possible to leisurely drift along over the top of a canyon, which starts at 30m where often Leopard Sharks are resting on a sandy plateau next to the canyon. There is also a good chance of other larger pelagic predators if you look into the blue, as you are drifting along. Large schools of Tuna are very common.

  • Thomas Reef
Thomas is the smallest of the 4 reefs in Tiran but is by no means less spectacular. It has an amazing canyon which starts at 35m, an abundance of hard and soft corals, caves on the northern side where large grouper rest up, often turtle are seen feeding on the walls and again larger pelagic often visit. You are able to circumnavigate Thomas if the sea is calm and there is no current.

  • Gordon Reef
The southernmost and largest reef in Tiran, which also has a visible wreck called the Lullia, ran aground in 1981 after it is rumoured "the skipper had one too many vodkas". The Lullia, was carrying a cargo of empty barrels which are visited on the dive.

A fantastic abundance of coral garden, where the giant moray eel is a regular encounter, napoleons, tuna and also often visited by passing dolphins.
