For the most chilled out diving in the Sinai, Dahab is a must. Visit the Canyon, and the world famous Blue hole.
Take a 4x4 mini safari or if you are real adventurous a camel safari, take a Bedouin dinner in the dessert and just chill.
The Canyon
Start in the lagoon before you go outside towards the entrance to the canyon at 15m where there is a hole, this opens into a tunneled arch, then descends down to 52m. At 30m make the turn where there is often huge malabar groupers hiding inside the canyon, as you make your ascent you come up to a huge shoal of glass fish. You make your exit from the canyon, turn and watch your exhaust bubbles filter through the coral, a fantastic dive.
The Blue Hole
First descend through the Bells, a descent through archways straight down to 25m where you exit onto the reef, on occasion met by dolphins or larger pelagic predators. Then swim along the reef looking for gorgonians and a careful eye for the mimic octopus, which is usually hiding amongst the coral, slowly ascend up to 7-8m where you cross the reef into the blue hole make the circuit of the blue hole which is 100m deep, before you make your exit.
